Money Saving Challenge - How to Shop at Publix (& other grocery stores!)

How to save BIG at Publix with BOGO's (Buy one Get on FREE). I only shop at Publix and Winn Dixie, so some of the same rules may apply at other grocery stores....

Coupons you can use:

• Manufacturer coupon

• Publix coupon

• Competitor: Winn Dixie, Food Lion & Target

• Walgreens Register Rewards and coupons
  

* They will not take anything that requires you to have a “membership” card to get it – CVS - ECB & Winn Dixie Catalinas are not allowed

Stacking:

• You can stack a manufacture coupon with a competitor or Publix coupon
  

BOGO's (Buy one Get one FREE)

BOGO’S are the biggest money makers at Publix.

Here is a breakdown on how to work them:

Lets say that Lawry’s 30 Minute Marinade,is BOBO at $2.79

• You can use TWO $ .50/1 Lawry’s Marinade coupons found in the Red Plum (RP) circulars from 8/30 or 7/26

The Math:
$2.79 – $1.00 = $1.79/2 = $.90 each

SAVINGS:
68% - TOTAL Without Sale or Coupons would have been $5.58

So you can use TWO coupons for each of the items even the FREE one.

Here is another example of using coupons with a BOGO but this time we can use BOTH a manufacturer and a store coupon (stack them)....

Lets say that General Mills Cereal, Honey Nut Cheerios or Frosted Cheerios is BOGO at $3.99

• You can use (2) of $ .55/1 Honey Nut Cheerios - printable coupon
  

****AND****

• (2) $1 off any General Mills Cereal printable (Target) coupon
  

The Math:
$3.99 – $3.10 = $.89/2 = $.45 each

SAVINGS:
89% - TOTAL Without Sale or Coupons would have been $7.98

So now you can see how you can SAVE a lot of money with BOGO's at Publix. Remember to always get as many BOGO's that you have coupons for as long as you plan to use the product BEFORE it goes bad.
